Rut Blees Luxemburg is an artist who deals with the representation of the city ranging from photographic works to public art installations and the opera Liebeslied/My Suicides. Her recent public work Silver Forest is a large-scale photographic phantasmagoria depicting urban birch forests, which are rendered in concrete for the façade of Westminster City Hall. She is a reader in urban aesthetics the Royal College of Art, London. Her work was included in the recent exhibition ‘À pied d’œuvre(s)’ which marked the 40th anniversary of the Centre Pompidou. Her new work is on show at Galerie Dominique Fiat, Paris in the solo exhibition Eldorado Atlas.
