Yasufumi Nakamori, PhD, is the former curator and head of the department of photography and new media at the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia), as well as the former associate curator at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. His exhibitions include For a New World to Come: Experiments in Japanese Art and Photography, 1968–1979 (2015) and solo exhibitions with Leslie Hewitt, Omer Fast, and Naoya Hatakeyama, for which he also coedited the accompanying catalogue Excavating the Future City (Aperture, 2018)
