Nate Lewis. Currently works and lives in New York City. Lewis' current practice is focused within sculpted photo works. Lewis treats paper like an organism, sculpting patterns and textures akin to anatomical structures and cellular tissue within photos. His way of seeing and dissecting imagery is influenced by the diagnostic lenses and tests used to understand the imbalances and unseen within patients he took care of. Lewis worked as a critical care registered nurse for nine years. His work is currently in a touring museum exhibition with the Smithsonian : Men of Change. Residencies include Pioneer Works and Dieu Donne.
