Elsa & johanna
Johanna Benaïnous (1991) and Elsa Parra (1990) form a french duo of artists, photographers and directors. Studying at the Beaux-Arts and at the Arts Décoratifs of Paris, they met in New York in 2014. Guest of the Salon de Montrouge 2016, finalist of the prix HSBC and short-listed for the Révélation Emerige 2016 grant, they were invited at the festivals Circulation(s) and Photo Saint-Germain. Laureates of the 2nd Prix Picto 2017, their work joined the collections of the Palais Galliera and the Fond d’Art contemporain de Seine-Saint-Denis. In 2018, their work A Couple of Them is acquired by the FMAC. In 2019, they were awarded the Prix du Public du festival de Hyères, before exhibiting at the MACVAL.
