Azoulay Gérard

Born on 1 December 1957 in Marseille,
Gérard Azoulay has run the Space Observatory, the art and science laboratory at the CNES (France’s government space agency) since 2000, a role in which he wears many hats, from artistic director to exhibition curator to editor. He is editor-in-chief for the Espace(s) periodical, heads up the publication of several exhibition catalogues and books and is the author of numerous texts published in museum exhibition catalogues and journals. He has curated several exhibitions. He is also the artistic director of Sidération, the space-inspired festival, and the co-artistic director with cellist Didier Petit of the album Voyageurs de l’Espace.
